WELCOME TO IFAPP

The Inter-Faith Activity and Partnership for Peace (IFAPP) brings together an uncommon amalgam of influences across the major religious groups with the purpose of using their considerable reach and goodwill to promote peaceful coexistence of religious groups and also seek solutions to the security and stability challenges facing Nigeria. .

Our Mission

A peaceful world founded on justice, mutual understanding and respect of religious and cultural diversities

Our Vision

To provide a sustainable national platform for structured and constructive engagement between Nigeria’s faith communities for the advancement of peace and harmonious co-existence

Our Shared Values

We believe in the inherent dignity, equality and inviolability of all human beings

The Conveners

There are assorted provocateurs amongst all our various faiths. To counter them, Reverend Father George Ehusani of the Lux Terra Leadership Foundation, Abuja and Ustaz Nurudeen Lemu of the Islamic Education Trust (IET), Minna convened a group called the “Inter-Faith Activity and Partnership for Peace (IFAPP).” This nascent group is building capacities for the Spiritual, Economic, Academic and Cultural Enhancement of Society as well as the Peaceful Coexistence of Religious Groups in Nigeria.

Rev. Father George Ehusani is the Executive director of Lux Terra Leadership Foundation. Lux Terra is an indigenous non-profit Nigerian leadership training outfit established in 2008 to respond to the challenge of leadership in Nigeria. The vision of Lux Terra is to see Nigeria transformed into a nation of integrity, peace and progress through the emergence of effective, purpose-driven servant leaders at all levels and in all sectors.

Ustaz Nurudeen Lemu is of the Islamic Education Trust (IET) which is a national charitable organization established in 1969 and is devoted to promoting the growth of quality education and ensuring that the perspectives of Islam are successfully combined with modern school curriculum. It has in the last two decades expanded its operations into development programmes targeted at the most vulnerable members of society covering such areas as water, health care, poverty alleviation, education and orphan support. Through the Da’wah Institute it provides training and facilitation in inter-faith dialogue to improve peaceful coexistence among Muslims and between Muslims and Christians across Nigeria.
